MEDICAID pays for incontinence products under the following conditions:
- The Medicaid consumer is more than thirty-six months of age.
- The consumer is not a resident of a nursing facility or intermediate-care facility.
- A prescription that is written, signed, and dated by the treating physician must be obtained at least every twelve months that specifies:
- The applicable diagnosis of the specific disease or injury causing the Incontinence.
- Developmental delay or disability, including applicable diagnosis.
- Type of Incontinence.
- A prescription that only lists incontinence or incontinence supplies.
